How to use
Apply sunscreen 30 minutes before tanning. Avoid intense midday sun. Protect babies and children from direct sunlight. For babies and children, use protective clothing and sunscreen with a very high sun protection factor. The specified protection factor does not increase with repeated application, so you should not overdo staying in the sun during the day.
Expert advice
Full protection will be provided by additional application of Sunscreen Anti-Aging Face Cream SPF 20. For after-sun care, we recommend After-Sun Cream-Gel.
Information
Products from the Aloe Vera Sun Protection series satisfy any skin needs thanks to their variety - from gel to spray. All products have a high content of Aloe Vera and meet the requirements of modern sunscreens. All products have a seal with the type of rays A: UVA, which confirms that the products have a balanced ratio of substances that protect against type A and B sun rays (UVA and UVB filters). Sun protection is effective in the range of protection factors from SPF 20 to SPF 50.
Sun rays type A and B (UVA and UVB)
In addition to visible light, the Sun sends radiation to the Earth in the ultraviolet range that is invisible to the human eye. This radiation, at very high doses, can negatively affect the skin. Therefore, we must protect ourselves from this radiation when tanning. In particular, UVA rays can contribute to skin damage such as premature aging. UVB rays are known to be the primary cause of sunburn. The intensity of solar radiation (= UV index) depends on various factors such as the season, time of day, latitude, altitude, reflection from the Earth's surface and weather conditions, which can be checked at any time online at the European meteorological services. UV radiation has a huge impact, especially on children.
Sun protection for children
Children's skin does not have the same protective mechanisms as adults. It therefore needs to be protected more intensively and requires a higher SPF (sun protection factor). Young children, especially infants, should not be exposed to direct sunlight at all.
Note
Skin types vary, as do solar radiation. Sunscreen is not a substitute for an umbrella, a T-shirt, and a hat. To protect your skin from sun damage, avoid being in the intense midday sun.
